A privately owned, Mexico base airline Aero California initiated in 1982 with its jet flights using DC-9 aircraft. In 1989, the first international scheduled service was inaugurated between Los Angeles and La Paz, Loreto and Los Cabos. Currently, Aero California operates over 130 daily flights between 20 cities within Mexico and 1 in the United States.
