Kenya's best kept secrets is the numerous golf courses. Enjoy a safari, beach and golf all in one visit. One of the most appealing features of golfing in Kenya is the variety. From the beach clubs set among palms and casuarinas with stunning views of the sapphire Indian Ocean, to those dominated by the perennial snowcap of Mount Kenya there is a medley of courses each vying for priority as the most attractive for location and interest. One is even built on the slopes of an extinct volcano!
Kenya has 40 golf courses of which 12 are 18-hole, 10 of which are used for championship events. 6 are within a 20 mile radius of Nairobi - Kenya's bustling capital. The oldest 18 hole course is Royal Nairobi Golf Club founded in 1906, the latest is the David Jones design pay and play 9 holes golf course Golf Park within the Nairobi race course.
I know you are already thinking wow!

I'm tagged!
Lynn Emery
tagged me with a "Three Things I Can't Live Without" meme. This is meant to be more personal things, not the usual like air, water, food kind of things.
Here is my 3
1. Smile - A big smile always on my face, keeps my spirit high, helps in difficult times and makes others around me happy.
2. Kindness - A very kind heart that has brought me hope and a reason to smile.
3. My computer - Can't imagine how it could have been if I were still in the slopes of Mt.Kenya

Desert walk in search of the past?
I'm still taking you back to my recent trip to Egypt. Under the desert sun and my 4 year old never said I'm tired Mom. Reason? Because he was in search of Cleopatra! Strange but true. We prepared him a little before going there.
The miracle of a wonderful trip (vacation) in Egypt was from Scooby Doo! He had watched several times and he had felt himself in the shoes of Velma. It worked, his curiosity was high throughout the vacation.
The nice thing is thinking back when I grew up in the slopes of Mt. Kenya who could tell 1 day I will be sitting here infront of my computer sharing with you all these travels that we have done.
A vacation in Egypt is something you should not miss if you have the possibility. We stayed in the island
Places to see
Old (Coptic) Cairo
The Citadel of Cairo
Egyptian Museum
Cairo Tower - enjoy a panoramic view
Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara
To stay I advice you to stay in a more quit Zamalek area.Zamalek is an island in the nile between downtown Cairo and Giza.
If you want more information on this just email me and will be happy to email back if you are a budget travellor.
Watch out soon for more photo's of our stay here.
